A DAX trade in the morning - again looking at the opening range 8:30 to 9:30 AM CET and waiting for a break out:

07/14: Not a great first trade on the DAX. I'm wondering whether the flat filter needs to be moved up from the existing 17:00. I'll need to back test with an earlier flat filter:

07/16: A nice signal, hitting my objective in less than 90 minutes and no drawdown:

Two trades on the DAX this week so far, and a total loss of around EUR 200.

On Monday the morning trade on the DAX was profitable. However, a larger profit could have been made. As I stated before, being able to scale out on the DAX would be great. really hoping for EUREX to create Mini DAX! I'm sure other traders would benefit from that too.

Target placed at half of yesterday's range, the stop at 0.4 times.

The S&P trade went the way I wanted, but looks deceiving. 2 lots for that move was perhaps a little small.

Yesterday the EUREX had a late start, so trading on the DAX with my morning break out strategy wasn't possible.

Today's trade on the DAX. The Stop and Target distances were amended prior to the trade due to the large range we had yesterday. 0.4 or 0.5 would have been too much risk.
