This will likely not be possible. The best you might be able to accomplish is getting the Bid price at the time you issue the entry order on realtime data. For that you can look into the reserved word InsideBid and reference the datastream you want.

When a position is opened in data1, how do you generate a variable that equals the bid price of data2 at the time of position entry?

I believe you will need to use the .NET version if you want access to the bid/ask data. If you want the last traded price of data2, you could do something like:

if BuySignal=True then buy ("Long_Entry") 10 contracts next bar at market;

// It buys the next bar at open

if marketposition=1 and marketposition[1]=0 then price2 = open data2;

MultiCharts .NET indeed has that data, but it's available in the regular PowerLanguage version too (see here). And the InsideBid and InsideAsk keywords are more accessible for those looking to use bid/ask data.
