Doe? no they are released by the EIA

We may be talking about the same stuff here... EIA=Energy Information Administration... DOE=Department of Energy... both are US agencies...

Bottom line, the DOE figures I refer to are released weekly on a Wednesday, which I think is what Macroninja alluded to.

I've just found this link https://www.eia.gov/petroleum/supply/weekly/ it goes back to the 80s, perhaps it may have what you need.

I went to the investing.com page and it states some releases are at 11h30.......as opposed to the traditional 10h30.

but when I go to the corresponding 11h30 candle ----> there is no "spike", and it appears data was released at 10h30 (because there was a spike at that time)
@MacroNinja

Currently the DOE report I'm referring to is released weekly on Wednesdays at 9.30 CDT. There's always a spike when it's released.

I would recommend differing to the volume spike instead of the report time listed on Investing.com. Has there ever been an oil inventory release without an increase in trade volume?
