Hello Guys,

I am interested in backtesting CL during the EIA Petroleum Report, and I currently am backtesting data during 2007.

Most of the time the reports are released at 10h30, but the past this has not always been the case. I would like to know at what times they were released in past years, where and how can I find this information?

Aren't the previous weeks already on the status report in excel format already? Could I be missing something and over simplifying your question? Looks like it goes all the way back to 1982.

If it's not on the Wednesday, usually it's because of a holiday that pushes it back to Thursday. But the dates listed should highlight when those exception dates are on the excel.

What I meant was what time, as in the report isn't always released at 10h30

I'm not sure how back this goes since you're asking about 9 years ago. But Investing.com should have the time stamps. United States Crude Oil Inventories

EIA reports are not the DoE ones, right?

If you already have the price and volume data, would t it be easier to just filter that data for the release time to be able to get the time stamp? There should be a pretty significant volume spike middle of every week.

I went to the investing.com page and it states some releases are at 11h30.......as opposed to the traditional 10h30.

but when I go to the corresponding 11h30 candle ----> there is no "spike", and it appears data was released at 10h30 (because there was a spike at that time)
