Despite the fact that we already confirmed that Times and Sales will be added in the future, I wanted to say that it's already available in multiple free applications. It's available in IQFeed's free app, for instance. Why is there a need to have it in every single app? Imo, if there were features you needed in MC, you would be using it despite the absence of Times and Sales, because you could be simply looking at it through another app. Having Times and Sales in every program might be make-or-break factor for you, but that is personal preference imo.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
Another question - what is the difference between inputting C# code directly into NT, and writing a C# DLL and using it from MultiCharts' EL? Is there something that can be accomplished within NT that cannot be used in a DLL?

I would select ninjatrader. The support is outstanding. You can ask them anything, even programming script stuff.
Last time I checked multicharts out I only found a manual of 2 years old. One of the important things when making software products is not only making the buttons work in your software but also creating a manual. Apparently the multicharts folks are thinking I'm wrong. I was scared away in minutes after checking them out.
Thanks for sharing. You are not the only one who felt this way, it's been a recognized issue that Help was lagging behind. We've taken steps to fix the situation. A new Help file covering all manual trading and other functions of MC7 in detail has been finished, it will be added to one of the near releases. Also, we added an Intro video to the front-page of the website, and are working on a number of educational videos covering all aspects of the platform (connecting a data feed, broker, using charts, etc).

I'm a NinjaTrader user who would like to use MultiCharts. There is only one thing holding me back.
Right now, I am developing my own automated and semi-automated strategies. With Ninjatrader, I can do this for free, until I am ready to trade real money. This means that my development costs are zero (besides much time!). It almost means that when/if I buy Ninjatrader, I can hit the ground running.
MultiCharts only offers a 30 day trial. This is hardly enough for an honest evaluation. If MultiCharts had a more generous trial period, or if you could use it intraday, automated, and in sim-mode for free (as is NT), I would be all over it.
Not sure if serious or trolling (for those that may not be familiar with this internet practice - Troll (Internet) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) ). 2 posts since 2010, and both of them invaluable contributions to this thread.
Are you serious? Let's compare apples to apples - if you actually wanted to try MultiCharts instead of just posting random information, get the 30 day trial, no Facebook requirements there. Don't act like you were born yesterday - anything that is free has a flip side, everyone on the internet does it. In this case, it's sharing information about a free app for others, actually a useful requirement.

No I'm not a "troll", I have a small business and trade since 2007. I did try Multicharts and Ninjatrader and I have a ninjatrader license.
Let's start
My posts invaluable? Do you have time and sales in your application yes or no? No, so I think my first post was legitimate. I know I did sound rude but a day-trading software in my opinion need charts, a DOM and a T&S window. You are working on it it's ok but my comment was right and valuable for person who want to see the difference betweed NinjaTrader and Multichart (and this is the topic name btw).
My second post on this thread was about the requirement of facebook for downloading Multicharts. Am I right about it? Yes. I have a business and this is a BIG marketing mistake to REQUIRE people to recommend something. And worst BEFORE they try it. Do you agree with me on this one? Because I'm pretty sure 99% of business people will tell you I'm right.
That is the WORST comment ever. We learn that in sociology in university it's not because everyone do something that you need to do it.
People smokes so you will?
People eat fast-food so you will?
People lives on credit so you will?
For conclusion I have nothing against you or Multicharts except the last sentence, but my post was valuables and I don't think I should be discredited because I have only 2 posts. The topic is about Ninjatrader versus Multichart for me AT THE MOMENT Ninjatrader is better and I say why. I go try to download the new version of Multicharts and I see that I can't download it if I don't recommend it. And the worst and I'm dead serious I don't even have a Facebook account.

Spotify did that. Since October, you can't create a standalone account anymore, you are REQUIRED to sign in using facebook..... So you think you could create a fake facebook account, but this is not allowed by facebook conditions, and if they find your account is fake, this account , so you playlists, could be deleted any time.... Amazing.... Let's not forget that everything you listen to is published on your wall, unless to do complicated stuff to prevent it....
