I am with Mirus and i have visited the page dedicated to R|Trader but have not found any instructions about how to install or download it. Where can we get this application ?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
If you have an alternate software for charting, don't like your platform crashing in the middle of a trade, don't like paying $60 bucks a month, still want to use the zen-fire feed, understand the benefits of a "server sided" OCO brackets.... I think its pretty "special"
The reason the rep didn't mention it is probably because they get a commission for selling ninja.
When I asked Mirus about R trader they lied about the features it offered and tried to "sell" me ninjatrader. They tried to tell me it wasn't capable of placing bracket orders among other things.
I contacted the guy at Rythmic and was able to clear up that these things were untrue and Jonathan (I think thats his name) was very interested in finding out who was telling me this.
I value a reliable customer service higher than for instance getting lowest possible commissions or lowest margins.
Being lied to is a red flag, next time it might be something more important on the line.
R-Trader does what it is supposed to, it´s not flashy or anything.
It has OCO , and brackets - it does NOT have trailing stops or move stop to break even after x no. ticks function.
For me it was more not trusting ninja that made me look for a separate execution platform.
I can admit i would like it much more to trade directly from the charts.
If you are stressed from a trade it is a big minus to move the focus from one point to another.
Trying R/Trader for 3 days live so far. I love it, lightning fast, smooth, everything works likes its supposed to. DOM has 10 levels. The downside is the dynamic DOM and no automatic stop modification.
NT for charting
R/Trader for execution.
Here's a pix of an active trade with R/Trader. Blue color is my position. You can see the stop and targets.
The broker should have a users guide.
Making NO errors is what establishes the certainty of victory...
Go to the Help section on the platform menu. The user guide is there in PDF.

To the best of what Rithmic informed me the OCO on R|Trader via the Rithmic feed does reside on their server not the local machine.
