If you want to trading with DOM scaling, I highly recommend Kevin Toch's One on One, but his charge has increased to 5000 Plus euros since I learn from him few years ago.
Al Brooks video course is great and he has plenty of content for free on Youtube. As well as Thomas Wade on youtube who mainly does scalping and has an impressive understanding of technical analysis.
Yeah I saw his name on futures.io and honestly I posted this to see if someone will mention Al Brooks and indeed he is already on my speed dial. I didn’t see Thomas Wade and I didn’t want to mention any name just to abide by the rules and registration on this platform
I really appreciate your response
Thank you and have a blessed day
Only$7,000 a year what a good deal... Never heard of the course before but there are plenty out there online just like this one. The testimonials on youtube are comical.
I can recommend Al Brook's course, it's about US$600. That course along with another 5 years of intense, concentrated effort should do the trick. Assuming you can reach consistent profitability as fast as Brooks, who did it in 7 yrs.
When I started out I bought the full course, but since then I've learned you can get an abbreviated version from TD365 for free, if you open an account with them (which you don't have to fund).
The value in the course isn't so much from the content, which is quite good, but rather the process you will have to go through to absorb the incredibly dense and voluminous material, and to put it into practice.
I don't think you'll find a mentor, unless you personally know a trader who will take you on for free because he likes hanging out with you. I wouldn't trust anyone who charges for mentoring. There's a lot of money to be made from trading, so it doesn't make sense (to me anyway) that someone who is successful at trading would bother with mentoring strangers for money.
I did try a paid mentor once when I was starting out, but he wasn't helpful. After a while I started questioning whether he was in fact a successful trader. He did seem to make a lot from from mentoring though.
As a caveat, I've been working hard at trading for 5 years and I'm not yet consistently profitable. You should discount my comments accordingly.
No, I am not affiliated. As I posted, I am just a student of Target Trading Academy since July 2020 who has benefitted from their training. My wording in my responses in two threads (one in December 2021 and the second in April 2022) is essentially the same because my experience is the same.
I see you are a Site Moderator. Since you are objecting about me posting about my positive experience with Target Trading Academy and learning how to trade profitably and safely, I will refrain from doing so in the future. For the record I did so TWICE in FIVE MONTHS!
However, I have a question for you. It appears you have no objections to numerous people posting about how they have tried to trade for years and are still not profitable. Is this the official approved position of futures.io? That trading futures is impossible to learn and cannot be taught?
I see an active thread entitled: "Traders with 5-10 years of experience and still not profitable." It has 20 pages of responses.
I want to state here that I have benefitted from futures.io in the one thread I initiated in February 2022. I asked for assitance to: "Duplicate Ninja's Swing Indicator for Sierra Charts." Several members especially 'bob west' were helpful in showing me exactly how to do so. Thank You.
Thank you for confirming that you have no affiliation.
Regardless of my personal views about any given vendor, FIO's policy is that vendors must declare themselves as such. If they don't, and they are found posting positive reviews trying to pass as users of the products or services they themselves sell, they are banned immediately.
I was merely asking you if you have any affiliation, and you have stated that you don't.
FIO is a community. Most forums including FIO do have policies that govern user behavior, but it would be unusual that FIO had any such policy in the way that you ask.
My personal view is that it is absolutely possible to be profitable trading futures. Only, it is not easy, nor is it common to attain consistent profitability.
which is in line with my view expressed above.
Glad to hear that. @bobwest, in addition to being another FIO moderator, is one of the most helpful members of the community. It is no surprise that you got help from him.
