Saroj you are the Man!! Indicator looks good...I have attached my template and a copy of my chart that I am working on with your stoch alert on it.
I couldn't get the alerts to work yet, but I haven't tried much yet.
Here is what my ZN trading plan is:
Thanks to Jeff, sharky, Big Mike, Saroj, wh...for ideas that went into this!
I have three charts, 11 range, 4 range, 1597 volume.
I use my 4 range chart for my entries, 11 range for trend and 1597 fine tuning all three have the same indicators
What I am looking for long entry:
Stochastics above 30 and rising
EMA 50 & 20 trending up
Consolidation Momentum above 0, Aggressive entry below 0 line but heading up
LinRegSlope above 0, Aggressive entry below 0 line but heading up
Use MML for SR and exit points
Entry for shorts would just be the opposite.
Money management:
2 contracts. First profit target is set @ 5 ticks and the second is runner.
Once first target is hit my stop loss moves to BE. Original stop loss is 5 ticks.
Still doing testing for average maximum profit and use this instead of MML
This is a work in progress but I plan on starting my journal and charts posting in the next week or so.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
i have it to say once again + not only to think it by myself :
great teams + great works here -- even if its simple stuff
+ some fun together also !
just nice to see ....
Indicator works good and I did get the audible alerts to work. The problem is they alert when the K% is rising from below the OBValue line. I need it to give me an alert when it is falling out of the OBValue section, falling below 70.
And the same for when the K% is in the OSValue section I want an alert when it is rising out of OSValue section, above 30.
Rod, on a quick glance it looks like you need to change "CrossAbove" to "CrossBelow" on line 112 and pull lines 112 to 115 out from the nested "if" statement (i.e. copy and paste just above line 110; similarly for lines 123 - 126... then clean up the Alerts as you like. To be honest these were commented out before and I just added the "sound on/off" toggle... I didn't really look at the logic... and, unfortunately I can't really focus on it right now either.. too late... give that a try...
To avoid a lot of aggravation for yourself.. copy and paste one set of them and just comment out the existing code... then press <F5> to compile... correct any errors.. once it compiles clean, do same on the other one.. that avoids long lists of errors.. just taking a nibble of code changing at a time.
