I apologize for the delay of the Investor/RT Webinar but I'm excited to announce that we are now on schedule for 4:00pm ET on April 27th. I'll still be working from the list of topics posted earlier in this thread. And as I mentioned originally, if there is any specific aspect of the software you would like to see covered, or if there are any questions about the software you would like answered, please post as a response to this thread.
Everyone - the date was changed from Thr April 28th to Wed Apr 27th. This was my fault, I just found out my second surgery will be on that Thr and Chad agreed to move the webinar up one day to accommodate my schedule.
Can you disclose either here or the webinar whether you are planning on adding chart trading or a DOM? I think IRT is the best program out there, but I didn't want to have to pay for both your software and another to do trade management from so unfortunately I had to give up IRT. I think many other users of IRT would absolutely love a DOM and chart trading integration. You guys (especially you Chad) are great at support and were always responsive to my needs, you're truly the best. To me, the look of the Tradestation DOM with integrated volume profile is awesome, but the overall best is IMO Ninja's DOM. If you could produce something like this, I would be in heaven. :-)
Also, if you added a lifetime license option and added the above feature, I would certainly pay for it, as I'm sure would others... I ould happily pay a one-time fee to own IRT to reduce the costs to only the DTN Market Access data per month.
I say, continue to produce the best and most versatile charting platform out there.... dont ruin a great charting platform by adding features that are already addressed in the market place by plenty of trading applications..
to those asking for the "integration" of trading and charting, look at CQGIC ... and pay the price accordingly...
IRT/MD is the best charting platform out there because they choose to specialize on charting and they contiously add new features that make sense to understand the markets via the charts ... why digress from what they are good at to try to compete with NT7/CQG/TradeVEc?... also, they already offer the ability to trade, so anything more sophisticated one should use the tools that provide the additional features one is after..
I personally fail to see why is it that people believe that an integrated platform is better than two separate components that would be the best at what they do (charting/trading)... that integrated platform (look at NT7 for example) is not always the best at anything..
I rather have my tools specialize on what they do best... charting/trading/auto...
I completely agree. I think IRT/MD is the best charting platform out there. Their RTL is extremely intuitive (I am programming illiterate) and a lot of the advanced functionality (especially with regard to volume breakdown) has significantly improved my bottom line. I use CQG IC for trading (and some charting), but I still use MD for additional analysis. I would hate for MD (or IRT, for that matter) to become unstable or more of a resource hog due to them becoming an "all-in-one".
