On the link color question, I am seeing the dark blue in image links, as we knew, and in url links. I am not seeing it in user mentions.
Also, I ran across the quoted material thing just now in a very recent notification, reverting back to the longer style. Here's a screenshot. Also, in this one you have the username DavidHP set off with an @ in the post, and it comes through with the normal color here, so that answers the question about mentions:
Bob.

I noticed this a while back, and I think you are looking at a MENTION or QUOTED email alert, vs a normal thread subscription alert. The prior aforementioned being the better formatted, because those mods have a custom function that improves (or removes/replaces) the markup.
I looked into implementing it into our main subscription emails, but backed off because of the initial complexity. But yes, on my list, and agree that the formatting is much improved in the former vs later.
Of course and we appreciate that sentiment, but it's also important for our community to reward helpfulness and this is one of those ways we do it, so we want to get it right
I actually just came to this thread to double check --- and found he was still wearing red -- and was about to declare victory, then I refreshed and saw your post.
It's the same bug. His reputation is being squashed to zero due to a math error somewhere in my formula. Then it gets fixed next time the script is run, but I am having trouble nailing it down as to what is causing the error to begin with.
