I have done a search of the forum for best practices with regard to instillation of NT8 and have not found any. Can anyone point me toward a thread where a guide so to speak has been created.
I'm going to keep a note book of the process when I make the switch and I'll post that here if anyone is interested.
Hmm, what kind of best practices? You just have to download it and install it, nothing special.
You should have .Net 4.5 installed but it's already installed by default on Windows 7 and above.
I Know to basic......Not really worried but thought with this vast recourse someone must have come across something that would count as a hitch! Mostly thinking data migration and initial settings. I read NT8 gives you one chance to make these selections etc...
One suggestion, if you are going to use Ninjatrader's V7 toV8 migration feature, If you delete all historic data and all replay data from NT7 first, the migration goes quickly. Otherwise, the migration program could take several hours to complete.
