The system is currently removing all the automated News and Current Events threads that were created years ago by a script pulling news headlines.

The remaining "real" threads will be moved and consolidated into Traders Hideout, and the News and Current Events subforum will be removed.

Would one of you kind gents please confirm the Edit button is no longer available to you alongside the Quick Summary posts? I want to make sure no one is creating new content that will end up being disabled. And on a side note, this page (239) of this thread is super CPU heavy for me in Chrome due to all the mentions/links... need to get to 240 Mike

On top of the ability to edit Quick Summary indefinitely, I've read somewhere on NexusFi that thread owners had the ability to edit the first post indefinitely. This ability would effectively replace the Quick Summary, if people miss it.


I can't test this myself as I have mod privileges and can edit any post.


I am guessing the above is no longer an option?

I'm able to edit the first post in the threads I started a long time ago.

Just doesn't work in the iPhone app. Post opens empty when I try.

This ability would effectively replace the Quick Summary, if people miss it. I can't test this myself as I have mod privileges and can edit any post. I am guessing the above is no longer an option?

I made it work by hand by adding[*] before each item. Plus the Editor was locked up and I couldn't type after use the List popup box.

Might it be because you also replied to the changelog thread? I almost locked up Chrome on my notebook, which only has 3 2gb of ram, because of the changelog thread (big mention post). The editor was the real issue on replies.

But now that we are past that point in the thread, everything moving quickly and normally.

Hi @xplorer, no that option hasn't been touched -- you can get post #1 indefinitely as the thread starter.
