Was looking at a TSLA chart this morning. Amazing that despite having a 10 day range of $99.26 and a 9 day change of -$71.13/-18.7% the stock is still $63.85/26.1% ABOVE it's April Low. Now that is one volatile stock!
Tesla Cars To meet an end-of-June manufacturing target, Tesla cranked out 5,000 Model 3s in one week. In the auto industry, cars that make it through the manufacturing process without needing a rework are part of a stat known as “first pass yield.” A competitive plant nails it on the first go over 80 percent of the time. An average plant gets it right 65 percent to 80 percent of the time, according to a manufacturing analyst. That week, only 14 percent of Tesla’s Model 3 didn’t need a rework, new internal documents reveal.
Of the 5,000 Model 3s that contributed to Tesla's end-of-June manufacturing target, about 4,300 required rework, according to internal documents viewed by Business Insider.
Found this tonight and thought it was interesting. Guy in Arizona found a lot where it appears Tesla is dumping defective Model 3 inventory. 75 to 80 Model 3's. Cars are on a shady lot with no security, some have early vin numbers and bird poop all over the cars.
