I don't use Global Sim mode. I just choose the account from the drop down menu.
You add sim accounts by going to control panel and choosing accounts tab and then right-clicking any of the accounts listed and choose "Add Simulation Account …
Thanks for posting this. It seems like an insane amount of work around just to update the software. If you are not actually with Ninja Trader brokerage, why bother? My understanding is that web based platform only works with NT Brokerage.
Please keep posted in a month to confirm that there are still no issues, gives me hope.
This upgrade is causing me tremendous pain - stability issues, charts freezing, indicators not working, unable to uninstall assemblies to actually fix indicator issues by doing upgrades etc. And no response from NT support yet. Yet the indicator vendors are pointing me to NT support ...
In addition the login process is PAINFUL as it does not work with modern password managers. Especially trying to work through all the issues and having to restart many times ...
And do I understand correctly this is all just for a certificate? I other words this could have been the smallest little executable update that installed a new certificate independently from whatever version you are running ...?
But now I think I can just do a restore and change brokers - that's a lot less painful.
Apologies that you are having issues. We sent you a DM to assist.

Go back to version 8.0.28.0 If you have a brokerage account with Ninja, go to Download and select that version. That's what I did and I have no problems now.
Regardless what their tech team says, the new version is loaded with bugs. It will cost you time, money and frustration.
I minimized the pain using Dashlane's Chrome extension. With a few keystrokes I can copy the password from the browser window. It's a bit annoying, but nowhere near as bad as having to type the password manually every time. (If I had to do that, I'd use a windows macro tool such as AutoHotKey.)
If the problem is Vendor related, I just wanted to mention how Vendors have no responsibility to our problems. I tried to complain to NinjaTrader about my most recent issue, and this is the initial answer I received;

Yes, if you don't use CQG, you can use another version. I should have mentioned that. I use Rithmic so it doesn't apply to me.
Thanks for mentioning that.
