I joined this forum a few months ago and have been reading threads and watching seminars as time permits. I have been trading for several years now and primarily day-trade the financial futures markets.
Mike, I want to thank you for creating this wonderful resource. Trading can often be a lonely pursuit. Having a place where like-minded people can come together to share experiences is a very positive thing.
See you in the forums,
Ian Dunross

I am Harman Sidhu, from India and i am delighted to be a part of this community.I look forward to learn ,share and experience my personal evolution as a trader, with fellow traders @futures.io (formerly BMT).I have a humble gift for my fellow pilgrims.I am just gonna post it in downloads section its called SidhuMA.Hope you enjoy it!
It has taken me so long to post because I am not very talkative in a crowd. Not shy, just maybe cautious. You know, you might say the wrong thing or something really, really stupid and there you are, you are the one in the spotlight and everybody is looking.
But I think this forum just might be the place for me.
So far every topic and every post I have read seems to be helpful if not informative. I think I can not only learn something but maybe put my two cents worth in.
I have been trading Forex for a few years but have not been very profitable. I even blew out my account.
So I decided to clear my charts of everything and start from scratch. I am trying to learn Price Action and anything that is K. I. S. S.
I am making small strides toward my goals and will post anything I feel might be helpful to others.
Thank You Big Mike for this venue to help others and better ones self.

Hello
New trader here, trying to learn as much as I can. Very hard to find where the edges come from in trading. Seems like its just a big gamble with people looking at pictures and hoping that its right. I am very skeptical of pretty much any advice I see, so we'll see if I can find something to gain a foothold on all this.
Thanks
Hello I am Pietro born and still living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
After school I started to work, at the age of 21 (after 3 month probation, lol) as a fully authorized
employee for a stockbroker on the marketfloor of the stockmarket in Amsterdam.
Now at the age of 62, I look back on a career in finance, worked for several banks in my country.
Next to my job I do my trading for over 40 years now and still am active at the futuremarket on TWS,
Interactive Brokers platform and Ninja Trader charting programm.
Almost every day I log in at Paltalk to keep in touch with other traders.
It was on Paltalk where I heard of Big Mike's Trading Forum and I hope to visit the forum soon to see
if I can contribute to this community.
Having started in a new (4 member) family run fund only recently, I found the information on this forum extremely helpful when faced with a number of challenges that where "taken care of" in previous employment.
Been pretty interesting having to do all the database, IT, software, trading platform, data vendor investigations amongst the short-list of tasks. Having frustratingly learned a tremendous amount I look forward to finally settling in and trading!
Fairly new to the trading world but having spent 10 years looking for the right vocation, I am glad to report my CV is no longer a consideration and trading is the only "work" aka dedicated hobby I will pursue for the remainder working life.
Experience: 18 months, Beginner to Intermediate
Markets: CTA - anything there is a buyer or seller for!
Favoured Markets: Agri and Soft Futures and Options
Question: I developed a fairly straightforward Excel based Interface that allowed me to monitor my various symbols in real time using eSignal and prvide alerts etc. However having moved to IQFeed I am wondering if anyone has some advice on the XLQ versus QuoteIN. I have looked at the websites and local comments, but given they are always biased I though this would be a good way to begin my first forum post.
I would have a view of eventually programming more advanced VB based trading operations as I am currently an intermediate Excel user writing only basic macros.
Any advice on these two (or others) would be most welcome.
