I do remember their "This one and that one stays forever...." too. If my memory serves me right such comments happened two times in a row at least and turning out as hoaxes afterwards. AFAIK 'trust' means something different than that.
This has been a rumor for the past months, there is another competing platform coming out having a new generation of development methods bypassing MC, they are said to also have patents - which explain why the founders say MC is in "stagnation".
Can add, that several rumors/speculations are circulating, that MC is becoming a broker like NinjaTrader ( IB decide to cut them of ) - that MC is pitching for an exit - that they have a IP violation of an existing patent, which might explain why Interactive Brokers cut them off ( if it was a IB decision) - that as said a new competitor with IP rights is coming in - that they were in an exit negotiation, but that this process was unexpected stopped.
In general, IB would not cut business off, and MC wouldnt either - participants do simply not cut off business and revenue in this sector, perhaps unless the other party is not generating revenue - so this might be caused by a serious issue, such as a legal issue.
A good example is NinjaTrader and FXCM, when NinjaTrader became their own broker, FXCM continued promoting NinjaTrader, NinjaTrader is still listed at the FXCM web site - FXCM did not cut NinjaTrader off simply cause NinjaTrader still generate a revenue for FXCM.
So a major part of this question will be answered when we know why IB did cut off MC, or why MC did cut off IB.
Are you hear to promote another platform? and came via this post to promote it?
Please share with us these rumors, some of us do not hang out in the elite circles you do.

I think there would be other more suitable moments and channels if I wanted to promote a company or platform :-)
As the others here I have heard rumors as well, besides have more information than that, and was curious whether the IB news is true, a coincidence this decision happens now as owners talk about absolutely not selling.
