I noticed that too after restarting NT.
Try to remove indicator and add it back. It fixes it for me. Have not had a chance to look why is it happening.
Thanks Sagor - I've tried deleting and reloading the Economic News indicator but it remains blank.
I also uninstalled the indicator from NT8 and imported the add-on but it also made no difference.
I've set the Timezone offset correctly so I am not sure why it is not working.
I'll try again at a later time.
Thanks for reporting it @Aregon, I will have a look at the code, maybe they changed the XML layout. Will post a new version as soon as I solved the problem
Hello @Popsicle - I'm not a programmer at all but I did come across a bug fix in the jtEconNewsV2 for NT7 that related to date/time parsing in a non-"en-US" culture.
Being in Australia, I was wondering if there is an issue with the date/time format ?
In the jtEconNews code there are references that make me think that might be the case.
// Must specify the culture that should be used to parse the ForexFactory date/time data.
private CultureInfo ffDateTimeCulture = CultureInfo.CreateSpecificCulture("en-US");
If you had problems with the indicator yesterday not showing news, could you please remove it from NinjaTrader, restart NinjaTrader and add it again? The source seems to have gone back to their old format and all seems to be working again.
Please let me know in this thread if you are still experiencing problems and we can troubleshoot it together.
Hello @Popsicle - I'm still having problems not having news data appear in the indicator.
Is it possible that I am having date/time parsing issues with the NT8 version ?
The jtEconNewsV2 for NT7 is working with the current Forex Factory calendar.
Just uploaded a new version of the indicator. In this version:
-Parsing the source date with US date format. Indicator will now work for users that have a non standard date format. Thanks @Aregon for helping out with the debugging
-Can now specify a right hand margin to offset the indicator if necessary
