Although you can see that this is not FX or a 5 min chart, if you examine the chart, you will see most of my system explained on the trades on a CL 6 tick (r) chart. You can apply the methods, setups, or system to anything you trade and most any tradeable time frame or tradeable tick chart.
Good trading.

ESFXTrader could you tell me what your EMA's are that you are using for CL, TF and ES? I would appreciate it so I make sure I have it correct. Thanks for your posts.

I see on the 14-CCI region your progression of numbers starting after a Hook From Extreme with number 1 going to #5. What determines
1. Where they start
2. What causes the count to stop and restart
3. What happens after the end of the 5-count?

"I just found your other threads! I didn't know you had more than the 2 older ones on your CCI method. It looks like you definitely improved things. Congrats!
I have a silly question. I know you like to take trades at the outer Bollinger Bands, but in a strong trend price will ride and even break that extreme for 3 or 4 bars. How do you know not to take those? CCI and RSI will be against you and I would bet you do not always get divergence telling you to take it.
If you prefer I can also post this question on one of your threads too. Thanks I think I will take a trial of Dv Pro and see how your method works with the proper moving averages.
Thanks for sharing your new methodology! Keep up the great work. I am going to study the threads again before I take my 2 week trial.
thanks

Thanks for the interest and I believe I have covered the questions in the above posts but I will add to it here.
Here are current charts on 6A-Aussie Dollar on which I have marked some of the trades and shown why one does not always take a reversal at the BB's. First, when in a trade, one would hold till best exit, then Divergence and pulling away from the BB's before re-hitting it play a part in whether or not to take the trade as a reversal or exit the trade one is holding. If you have not traded price action in this manner, perfect in on paper trading or on a demo before live trading. I have had great success for many months now and most trades are winners.
Good trading.

Although this is for TF futures, it works as well for all futures. My setup includes double BB at 20, 2 and 2.5; 20, 31, & 62 EMAs; Stochastics Slow of 6,5,3 and 8,3,3 on same plane as price; and most important, is the CCI (Commodity Channel Index) at …
My journal will mostly consist of charts marked as to how I read price action by showing setups and explanation to many if not most of the potential trades. Early on I will show several more charts with trades than at some point in the future. For now, …
You ask for it. So here it is. Simplified to the utmost. I will describe the trades on ES for 4/23 and 4/24 using no indicators below. Using only a 30 minute chart to keep it simple.
Go to the above entry and see just how simple my system truly is and how you can use it on any time frame and contract.
It can't get any easier than this. I hope everyone can now see just how good this is. You can't beat it.
Use a chart on which you prefer to trade and prove it will work for you. Let me know how well it works.
Good Trading.
