Thanks guys! We got home from the hospital today as we had to go back in for his bilirubin spike (common in prematures), but home hopefully permanently. Lil guy is doing really good and we are incredibly happy with him. This is me, Ilario, and Purrbot (who has been craving attention since I got home).
Many thanks to the site and all the contributors. Great source of info.
I thought of that too, for Purrbot. If I end of making one that is reliable, I think I'll call it that.
Taking a half day today and tomorrow to be home for a dr's appt and to be home with him. I think I'll fire up the trading comp when I get home while mom and baby are sleeping to do some sim to check out market dynamics.

Lessons learned. Focusing on building back up our emergency fund as of now. Once that is completed, I will build up the trading account to a significant amount and work with that. No play terminology as that lacks the seriousness as which I take this chosen profession. Will be simming until both are completed and not live, unfortunately. Replay only for now.
Wife is being a stay at home mom, and we can afford it. I'm incredibly glad about this.

Trading wise, with all this volatility, I'm certainly not trading the first 10-15 minutes of the open. WAY too shifty for me. I see 5 points down (yes, points!) in one 1 minute bar and then back up 4.5 points on the next 2 bars.
First trade was a short. Watched it for a while before I felt comfortable. Today is VERY fast moving. Made the trade based off movements on the 70 tick chart. Took the short, it went to 10 ticks in the money, paused for a few seconds, then went to 15 and I closed out.

2nd replay trade of the day. I suffered through some heat on, but knew the fundamentals were good. On the tick chart, the price moves SO fast that making a pretty trade to eek out the absolute maximum is more of a risk than I am willing to take. TF Market has started to show a negative trend instead of my previous trade's sideways action. Also, given how much volatility there is per minute bar, I had a great feeling the trade would come to me. I've had better trades and larger resulting trades, but on a day like today I'm not complaining.
+ 11 ticks. Total on the day thus far, +26.
One trade left.
Many thanks to the site and all the contributors. Great source of info.
How big was your stop loss? looking at the chart it should've been over 3 points, other wise you would be out of the trade. You said "I cannot STAND to be in a position that is over 11 ticks out of the money". Is it just because of volatility?
