I'm surprised I haven't heard from more of you guys on this feature. It seems like a lot of you would be real excited to be able to filter out subforums you don't want to show up in the list.
I've renamed the chatbox "channels" or "rooms" to make them more generic. Now if you and a group of buddies want to chat away from others, you can just go to a different room.
If you don't see the new images, you'll need to do a hard refresh on the page (Ctrl-F5).
The banner ad near the top of the site has been moved all the way to the very top, saving a good amount of screen pixel height.
Because of the slightly new layout, a couple of other changes were needed, listed below:
The unread post count ### has been removed from showing in the header, saving an enormous amount of queries to our database --- this is an extremely intensive lookup query, because it is unique to every single user and requires scanning a lot of tables.
You will now find the unread post count ### only after clicking "New Posts" from the navbar. It will show the unread count near the top left of the page.
The "clear" or "Mark forums read" button has moved to the bottom right of the "New Posts" result page.
I made one last adjustment, but I've made the site as narrow as I can. Please understand majority of people are viewing with much larger screens and on top of that, not using a Zoom setting which really wreaks havoc.
The minimum site width is 1130px with ads enabled, and 1085px with ads disabled (Elite only).
