I am Swedish guy based in Stockholm that got a renewed interest in the financial markets after the Lehman Crash. Since the summer of 2011 I have been following the markets almost every day, reading financial blogs etc. to soak up some knowledge. I have a background as a software engineer and I am currently working as an Information Security consultant.
I have several goals:
* Learn how to build a profitable system
* Learn how to backtest a system properly
* Build an automated proftable swingtrading system
- I have some ideas that I am currently struggling a bit with, when trying to implement backtesting in NT
* Become a profitable Index Futures daytrader
I'm especially interested in automated trading systems, but have found it hard to find relevant information on the subject.
BigMikeTrading seems to be the right place to find people with the same interest to share and exchange knowledge. Looking forward to hear from people with the same goals!
I'm new to this forum & hope to be a part of this community to learn & share.
I hope to achieve the followings:
1. To learn & master the 3 Ms of trading.
2. To learn about backtesting in order to develop a mechanical trading system.
I don't know if this is the correct place to Intro myself, but I am another newbie to futures.io (formerly BMT) and am
trying to become successful trading futures. Have been in Sim for quite some time with O.K.
results, but don't have very good money management skills. Maybe I can become better here.
Can use all the help I can get.

I am a total newb to trading... I stumbled upon this forum through a web search about trading. I'm just trying to soak up as much information as I can, I really don't know where to start but I hope I'll find my way.
My current life situation has driven me to find a way that I can make money from home, or wherever I may be, without having to answer to a boss or have stringent work hours to abide by. I am interested in oil trading, I'm not sure why but it seems lucrative. Anyhow, I don't have much else to say as I mentioned I am a complete beginner.
I'm quite new here as well. Google helped to find this nice forum. Part-time trader from Germany, with retail FX experience for 3-4 years. I'm slightly profitable now, looking into solid swing trading strats.. though I love scalping - but I tend to overtrade and drain my account quickly during bad runs.
Stocks trading started to catching my attention again. I'm trying some things out right now on sim. We have CFD here, so it's easy to trade them on leverage. Maybe a better way to succeed than forex? Time will tell
Hi Everyone. This looks like a good forum for beginners like me. I just started this week with NinjaTrade and finding my way around, mostly on Dax futures. I am beginning to get the hang of it with simuation account. I will be a while before I get the confidence togo live. Sitting in Moscow Russia with not much else to do. Looks like we can make a bit of money on the side with a little help from my friends. Could do with a good live feed from the eperts if anyone has any tips.
Thanks for being here.

Hello all, my full time job is an engineer for a small-medium sized aerospace company that's headed back to the space station. For now I would like to continue trading and working at the same time, then in the later future move to trading for a living. I have gathered some good information on here already and look forward to gathering more and hopefully giving some at some point. Sticking with trading CL for now. Branch out to other commodities and eventually stocks I imagine at some point.
