ES bot took 3 trades today. Too many for my bot. first one was small IB bar of 7 ticks. It exited with break even. 2nd one was IB bar of 9 ticks, it won. 3rd one was another small IB bar of 7 ticks that lost.
I am going to go back to my previous rule of minimum IB bar ticks = 9 ticks. It filters choppy market condition.
I had 2 losers today. Both were similar entries. Inside bars were formed after outside bars. I need to filter these type of trades. I will be modifying my bot to avoid Inside bar entries when they form after outside bars.
But I have started discretionary trades from today. I think I should also keeps my hands on discretionary trading. I may not use it for my real trading but it will help me to understand behavior of ES.
I took 2 descritionary trades First one I exited at -5 ticks. Entry was based on double tops on 15 mins chart. But then I trade went into opposite direction so I bailed out at -5 ticks.
Second trade I took after 3.30. But I did not see much movement from ES, so I exited at Break Even.
My bot is not taking any trades from last couple of weeks. No major change in strategy. But it seems, ES has changed it's behavior with Inside bars. I will wait for few more weeks to see how my bot does.
I will be posting here only if there are any trades.
