I have been working as an aircraft engineer since I left school, recently however, I became a Daddy! Coincidentally, the Airline I was working for required a few voluntary redundancies, to which I duly obliged, since it gave me the opportunity to move back home to Ireland and be around to see my child develop (which is an opportunity not many new daddies get that I'm very grateful for!). I have been very interested in financial markets since I was a child, and have for a long time considered getting involved in finance in some way. Being at home all the time now has afforded me the time to study trading and get a feel for it through paper trading on demo platforms, while continually and feverishly improving my knowledge and understanding of the art. I am hoping that my continued personal trading development will eventually lead to many profitable pips, allowing me to work from home and spend valuable time supporting my partner as well as I can while also being here for my beautiful 3 month old daughter. Hopefully my input here will be valuable to some of you other traders out there, as I'm sure some of you're input will be valuable to me.
I'm "smajdah" and i've been trying to trade for about 2 years but i still can't find "the right thing" and i'm constantly wrong in my trading decisions I've registered here since it looks like a nice forum, hoping to learn.
Started first of the year with no discipline but much desire to learn the Markets and now... 3 accounts later 2 blown out and about 8k given over to the Pros. I now press on with positive verifiable results!
One thing I have learned is the Market is the best tool next to the Bible to teach you about yourself. Once you begin to learn about you, a whole new aproach opens to entering and exiting trades.
After my novice collapse to the bottom, I now am begining to see light as I climb out, and that is encouraging.
Currently I trade Pre Cash Market 6E and then follow the YM and NQ around 9 - 12 (eastern).
Only Traders understand Traders and to have a place like this I think will be a great asset to sharpen my skill.
Open to any comments questions or concerns.
BTW.......Any local Tri-State Traders??? Would love to here from a local
New to trading, so a bit confused by it all. There seem to so many many people out there who want your money for this system, for that system. Where do you start are they all scams trying to rip you off, I just don't know, so any advice would be great.
Hello,
I am new to Big Mike and I must admit a little lost... I am trying to understand how to use a lua program on my FXCM system. So far I understand that the files on FXCM are saved as .cht file and that .lua is different. Is there anyone out there that can explain to me how I make a .lua file work on my FXCM. Sorry to sound so rookie but one has to start somewhere and this is my big challenge for today,
cheers,
i have experience trading pretty much all exchange-traded products. i also have a good math/coding/finance background. I hope to be able to contribute in a positive way to the forum.
Hi everyone,
This is a great forum. It's good to be here. I have some experience in trading options (6 months, 2 years ago) and programming (from my high school), am a electrical engineer.
I want to make a fully automated strategy in NT 7... and learn, learn and learn
