I am glad to have found this great forum and I hope we will all do well along. I've in the markets for about 6 years now. I trade most FX, some stocks and commodities.
Thank you for the great job already done and in progress!
I've been trading on and off fx-spot form sometimes mostly on mini and demo.
I'm more attracted to futures and always want to start learning the futures market.
In the past month or so I've been browsing around "Big Mike" and I see is a good place to start learning.
Looking forward to make contributions around here,
hi people,
I have 4 yrs futures trading experience in my home country, Taiwan.
I started to expand my trades globally since last year.
futures.io (formerly BMT) is really a great forum that I gain much info. which I could not gain from elsewhere.
Looking forward to meeting you all.
Hey Traders!
Great forum - been too busy reading, haven't posted anything yet
I trade stocks for over 5 years, currently researching automated trading strategies.

Hi have joined and decided to introduce myself. Have been trading for about a year now, spread betting index's mainly, using ProRealTime via ig. Was doing quite well, until i blew up my account, i'm told that's standard for new traders. I'd put together a reversion back to mean strategy using a martingale set up. During the majority of ranges this made lots of money. However, on a huge swing, went against me badly and I gave back all my winnings and more. Hindsight is a vicious lesson to learn. It was a worthwhile lesson though, my over confidence was such that if i hadn't of lost then, I would have lost at some point, with the possibility of the losses being higher than they were.
Anyway, I am now trading off fibo lines and have customised a nice little indicator that automatically and dynamically gives the fib lines of 38.2% & 61.8% and my own of 25% & 75%, as well as the 50% level, high/low of day. No more clicking through charts trying to find swing highs and lows :-). So i can use any time frame under a day and have these levels (which are the same on every time frame chart). I'd like to find other like minded traders who'll test this indicator (programmed using Pro-RealTime / ig index) and who'll give me suggestions with marrying it up with some form of trend indicator - anything but moving averages; which i can't stand, hate curves on my chart, ridiculous hmm.
I was thinking of 'supertrend' indicator, and currently looking at ways to combine different time frame views of this indicator in the 1 timeframe chart. Not found yet. I like to see all the information i need on one chart.
Hi Mike, sorry to get back to you so late. I was busy with work and some family issues and left catching up on your site for a while. I am from Singapore and I primarily trade the emini Russell 2000 futures for about 3+ years. As with most traders, my results are not consistent and I am still on my search for the holy grail. Hopefully I could contribute and learn as well from your community. Thanks for setting up a site like these for sharing among like-minded people.
Cheers,
SSChiu
I am from NJ, and currently trading the s&p minis. I have trading for a few months and am trying to find a couple of good indicators which I will be able to use.
