I have read about NT8 problem with so called "memory leak" and now cannot find it again on futures.io.
Apparently applicable to NT8 as multi threading application and someone was suggesting a procedure (sequence) of closing NT8.
If I remember correctly it was like:
- close workspace
- disconnect data(s)
- close NT
Can someone from Ninjatrader explain the best process (shutdown sequence) to get the best of NT8?
Has anyone else had the situation where Enter is hit accidentally and the last order you executed was duplicated? I'm told by NT that this cannot be fixed. Any solutions other than clicking out of the chart after every order execution?
Hi not maybe same thing But... I have emailed many times and never gotten a answer from NT Brokerage on this:
If you notice it states "0 Data Fees" (big red arrow)my question to them was simple. Where does one get the DATA then? And trade a Live account?
Crickets for response.
Thanks in advance for any info.
Appreciate you raising this, please allow us to clarify.
The $12 Market Data fee is for access to the CME bundle subscription. Market data fees originate from the exchange itself and are charged to every trader enabled for data.
As the BIT contract is on a different exchange, it is enabled with your account for free, and is not dependent on subscribing to the CME bundle.
We have also sent you a DM to address this with you.
Thank you.

Hi and appreciate the response but needs to be here for others in case they are wondering as well.
Let's say you have a "live" trading account and are not subscribed to any data package.
Where does one get the "Free" data for the BIT?
What "connection" does one chose within the platform?
I apologize if you feel I am being confrontational, that is not my intent. It just does not make sense what the big deal is to answer this in an open forum.
No DM required.
Thanks in advance
In order to access the Nano Bitcoin futures product, you would simply add this product to your chart in NinjaTrader 8. For ease of access later, we recommend adding this instrument to your Instrument List.
Once complete, you would simply navigate to your chart and select the BIT instrument from your product list.*
The Nano Bitcoin futures contract (BIT) will operate on the two nearest months, with the current month being the front month. The current month contract will expire on the last Friday of the month, at which point you would rollover your contract to the new front month.
You can find additional contract specifications for BIT here.
Please Note:*BIT is not available in NinjaTrader 7 by default, only in NinjaTrader 8. In order to add this contract, please follow the instructions in the video below.*
you are not answering the question: Why on my daily settlement statement is there a 12$ fee for market data when you advertising sent to traders days this:
