I'm not talking about intraday 50-100 ticks harvesting. There are must be tons of fresh juicy stops all the way to yesterday settlement price. But we'll see how she will trade during settlement today.

Analysis is one thing execution is another. What a day. Once a trader has traded days like these dozen of times, it gets easier. Never comfortable but easier. Always try to have 2-3 scenarios in mind every trading day= JIM DALTON.

When you trade crude, do you use limit orders or do you hit the market when you want to get in and out? I have seen some great entries and exits ruined by algos in my time - curious as to how you handle this.

1) Most of the trades, i use limit orders.

2) In case of FLUSH UP/ FLUSH DOWNS, market order.

3) News driven PRICE ACTION like yesterday after API, market order. I did not add yesterday to my shorts after API but if i had not been hosed on 30 cars yesterday on FOMC minutes , i would have hit the market order.

I am no longer worried about algos etc. They are mostly designed to capture small 10,20 etc ticks all day long. For example, 1000 cars on 30 ticks is still $300,000. Theyjus do not take any RISK. It's like printing press.

Nobody expects complete reversal and market like to prove majority of people wrong. The way price is keeping way above VWAP etc. if i go by my experience, it's shaping up to be. In that case i will be surprised if she just stops at 53- provided FORCE shows up at that level. That's why i am listening to Led Zeppelin - Get the Lead Out Album.

Most Importantly for me an A up on DOE report days- shorts better be nimble , be lucky and do not go to the same well twice.
