I have been trading for 3 years , mainly off of fundamentals and news events, but also technically as well. My technical analysis is not as proficient as I would like it to be, hence why I have joined this forum in order to learn and share my knowledge and experience with other like-minded traders.
I mainly trade the Bund, Dax, Euro F/X and ES. I am keen to become a true technician in the ES and F/X markets especially.
Many thanks to Big Mike for establishing this fantastic resource. I look forward to absorbing and putting to good use the valuable information on this site, as well contributing constructively to it.
ANybody here trade or familiar with the Nexgen trading system. There site is NexgenT3.com. The system during the trail was very impressive but the price tag of $10k was high. Not sure this is the correct place to ask about a vendor selling a system.
Howdy... started trading...hoping to go fulltime ... in January with a small beginner size $12K account. 66 yrs young and trying to keep busy and also make some money. Also trying to learn C# to use Ninja stuff better.
Account crashed to $2500 then using a mentor and my indicators along with learning from open minded ness and learning PATIENCE, I am now back to almost 5K.
Havent been on here much, but keep seeing BigMike referenced so came back and having a closer look.
Maybe put some of my junk up... just newbie stuff not well programmed could be narrowed down to one indicator, but I'm not that talented so far.
I'm Zareth and am from Canada. Only started trading last year and am still very much a beginner. I stumbled onto this website while I was expanding my knowledge base of options trading. I noticed that the website gave off a friendly feeling, so I decided to make an account and introduce myself. As for my experience, my first trade went very bad (the company went bankrupt) but I think it was a nice wake up call as well as an important learning experience. Since then, my losses have been minimal and so even though I lost a fair sum (for someone with an income of 25k a year anyway), but am glad to have learned the valuable lesson I did. I hope to learn a lot about trading here and maybe at some point, help in return.
I have been trading if that's what you want to call it for about 4 years. It's funny, my father who passed away 20 years ago was a stockbroker. He made more money managing his own money than he did in commissions. So I guess he was a decent trader/stock picker. Unfortunately I had little interest while he was still alive. I do remember him charting on paper when I was a kid. I no know those were point and figure charts. How funny.
So in 2007/8 I started getting very interested in what was going on in the financial markets and how everything was falling apart. All I wanted to do at the time was find a safe place to park money so we didn't lose everything. At the time, it didn't look like the FED would go all out to save everything, but they did go all out. I don't think we are saved, but it gave us all a chance to regroup and think and observe.
I started messing with stocks, read some books, opened a Tradestation account. I read a bunch of books, paid for a bunch of training, coaching, mentoring. Read articles, followed "experts" who helped me make money, then lose it all back and more.
The bright side is I haven't blown out any accounts or had to add money to keep trading. The downside is I am super cautious and have a pretty serious fear of loss, a lesser fear of missing out. I'm not sure where my niche is and after 4 years I'm frustrated. I dislike trading stocks as in addition to the general market risks, there are risks associated with each stock and each industry. Earnings, accidents, buyouts, lack of ability to short, etc. I have gravitated toward futures and forex.
So, I am here looking to learn more and get my act together and first be a good trader, then make money.
Hello from Toronto,
I am what they call a newbie to equity trading. Being a retired person with some time on my hands I have taken interest in the financial markets. I am currently dabbling in trading stocks and options via Interactive Brokers with less than satisfactory results. I realize that I have very little to contribute to your trading club as of right now, but I joined with the intention of learning from the professional traders.
Thank you,
Mike
Hi Mike, Hi everyone,
Thanks for your messages and for letting me join your forum. Currently, I am just TRYING to learn and don't have much to share except my ignorance....! Allow me some more time! In the meantime I enjoy your webinars. Thanks!
