Well, remarking out those lines did allow it to compile, but it does not allow it to plot properly as the framework of the bars over which the HA indicator is being overlayed are still showing as well, so I guess that is not quite the right solution. I do much appreciate your having tried though.
You can't quite do that in NT7 as the primary dataseries must appear on the chart.. so you cannot change it to Transparent. You can alternatively go to the outline settings for the bars and color them the same as the chart background but you still don't get a nice clean plot like you would on NT 6.5 Perhaps that is why they converted H.A. from an indicator on 6.5 to a bar type in their code rewrite to make NT7.. I am really not sure. I can still use it with the change I just noted.. it is just not all that nice looking.
ChartStyle pen is no longer settable so I don't see this code working as you can't make the existing bar outline transparent - well you can but then you get a blank chart.
therefore I think that it may require a whole new BarType - like other versions of Renko bars.
Whilst not admitting defeat this is phd stuff and I am only at high school grade.
I will play around but don't get your hopes up :-(
edit - I wonder if the original author Roonius could possibly help
I've got it working and plotting properly now. The only thing I did differently from what I noted above was to click reload ninjascript and then reload historical data.. and bingo.. it now works just fine. Don't ask me why. If it flips back to the ugly plot with the wicks plotting on top of the bars rather than behind.. I will contact Roonius.. otherwise I am all good to go.
