Indicator Setting: 1. The ind. will Not work with 'calculate on bar close' set to False.
2. The default setting are for the ES.
3. DeltaPrice- This is the minimum required price difference from high to high or low to low. Keep in mind 0.75 is only 3 ticks in the ES. That would be 75 ticks(75 cents) in the CL, which is high (unless you are looking at daily bars). The 6E moves in .0001 ticks, so a .75 move in the 6E would never happen. .0005 is probably a more reasonable setting for the 6E.
4. DeltaIndicator- This is the minimum required indicator difference, in percentage, of the recent high/low to the prior high/low. A setting of 0.99 will show more divergences. 0.5 will show practically none.
Thank you for the indicator. A few questions for you---
1. I'm in USA, EST zone, using NT 7. Could you advise Session Template for ES and 6E ? ES for example, there are options: Use instrument setting, CME Index Futures ETH, CME US Index Futures RTH, Default 24/5 and Default 24/7.
2. Does your indicator work on time chart (minutes, daily) and non-time chart (range, volume, tick)?
3. I used the default setting of your indicator; but, the dark magenta line didn't mark from close to close. Is it normal?
1. I attached a screen shot of the session template I use. I don't recommend using it with an automated trading strategy, because it will not allow the strategy to exit on market close! I created it so I would only see one vertical line at midnight.
2. Yes. Any chart type.
3. I'm going to get a little bitchy now(just a little bitchy). It seems that you didn't bother looking at the ind.'s setting. People, people, ppl... before you bother the ind.'s author(any of us authors), please read & experiment with the ind.'s setting before asking questions. Do your homework first. We spend a lot of time coding these ind. So. please do your part and spend some time to read the settings description. If there are none then experiment with it. Thanks.
Please see attached image. It shows which setting will change the line's offset from price.
:faint:Known Issues: NT 7 has a bug with DrawOnPricePanel setting. So, if the divergence line does not plot on the price panel from time to time, it's an NT bug. I posted this issue and NT is looking into it. Here's a link to NT's answer …
1) It looks back to the last 3 swing points, however many bars that takes.
2) With NT using C# it's almost possible to do anything That aside, the condition you are looking for isn't a divergence, therefore it wouldn't belong in this indicator and needs a different logic structure.
Cheers,
Zac
