in addition to the drawing tool "drawcator", this update includes 2 free indicators:
- edevaayDrawCatorVWAPIndicator
this indicator can be used as a normal session vwap:
- edevaayDrawCatorNSessionVWAPNT8
with this indicator, you can plot vwap's over several sessions. you also have the option cumulative or non-cumulative. cumulative will draw the vwap over the entire sessions. non-cumulative will only draw the session selected.
cumulative:
non-cumulative:
also included in this update is a custom text with price markers. you can choose text (+SD3, -SD1 etc), price markers, both or none. and there're also several templates included that are ready to use.
One of most confusing ( i guess mostly to new migrants on NT8 ) part is, trying to modify visual properties of a DrawCator VWAP which is drawn by Indicator. What happens when user try to do this is, on new refresh of chart visual settings from template used in indicator settings re-overrides, giving impression that DrawCator VWAP is unable to maintain visual settings done.
Point here is, we should not try to manually modify the visuals of a DrawCator drawn by Indicator. This should be done by templates only. Only manually drawn DrawCator ( that are drawn by drawing tool drop-down menu ) can persist their visual settings which we can manually modify. Below video shows this how a template should be saved and re-used in indicator.
new product - an order flow bar type, called "delta polar bars"
yet another unique product from @devdas. I'm still trying to figure out the logic I do know there're not just delta bars. it takes delta and volume in consideration. also they don't need tick replay.
Delta Polar Bars, uses delta calculation for its construction and delta calculation type is taken as "UpDownTickWithContinuation". We relied only on this mode as Bid-Ask may not be available for backfill from every data feed provider. In absence of Bid-Ask data tied to last tick, NT8 replaces Bid-Ask as per their said guide
If the data provided has no bid/ask data tied to the last tick data, NinjaTrader substitutes the bid/ask data for consistent user experience purposes (i.e., Bid = Last price, Ask = Bid + 1 tick).
This will not produce correct result in perspective of "delta" calculations. And if used as in that case every tick behaves as negative delta because trade price become Bid price. A picture like below is often comes if used without Bid-Ask prices
Apart from this, we have taken a slight different approach on "startup" delta tick on session start, in delta polar bars. Unless a different price tick does not come from First Tick Of session, delta direction is not initialized.
There is nothing in numbers. Rather locate patterns that repeats often. Not possible to example every moment but often put on twitter, though i am not twitter guy.... Have put today's session.

Hello @Silvester17
thank you for taking the time for describing so well edevaay’s “products”.
However I would like to make sure you also know that they seem to apply the licensing rule described here below.
I just copy here the kind email I received a few months ago when I changed PC and I asked them to re-validate on it their drawcator license I had purchased.
“ Hello,
Thanks for your email. As per our record , you had purchased DrawCator in March - 2017 and had requested to shift license in Jan-2018 to new PC. It should be noted that we can only shift license only two times in lifetime tenure of products, as we assume that PC changes are not a frequent phenomenon and happens mostly in 4-5 years span. Currently your license in active on a machine whose Machine ID is as below
…
Make sure it is your same Machine ID. If its same then you can directly install as before and continue to use DrawCator. If your system is same as that from Jan-2018 then it should work as before. If your system is same as of Jan-2018 but still product showing license warning then please regenerate the same Machine ID as written above with the help of steps given in pade below
…
If you have not saved DrawCator latest version please download from below link and save it on your HDD
…
So finally make sure that your system is same , else we can only change license to new system only once now if you request.”
I think it is fair everyone know also about these … “rules” that appear to be vexatious, even without considering that, as far as I can tell, they were, nor they are not yet, clearly stated on their website, ie. before the sale.
So to anyone interested in spending some money in this, I would suggest beware that your machine number will change not only when you change PC but also any time you will (have to ….) reinstall windows.
