reversed to short at 644 at 5739
Had been long but reversed on a dip below MID
Looked like short was going to continue.
Of course as soon as I got in it reversed back up
Should have reversed again but hate getting caught offside
Seems when I use tight stops I get whipsawed and when I average in it keeps going
In this case itr worked
Averaged in short at 5769 as large amount of trading there from 500 to 620
Any suggestions on how to use stops? tight or specific levels or signals?
when CL fell off from the 240 ema and POC
I was feeling confident we would have a good swing down so set a big target
Of course it goes 22 tics and then all the way back to entry.
How many times does this happen
20 tics is a good swing
but they say you will never do well if you do not get the big swings.
Not going to let it do it again
set the 20 tic target and got it
up 70 tics on the day
Thought there was a failure at 8:00 on the Europe close for ES
However it had not really broken the up trend and immediately hit a new hi
and sat for an 90 minutes before the trend really changed
closed for a profit but was early on the entry again
Despite some glaring errors There was a profit on the 4 days I journaled this week.
57% profitable trades is about equal to a coin flip.
Average trade profit was $20.95
Profitable trades averaged $206
Average loser was higher at $226
Maybe I should take more 30 point winners and not go for the big wins.
AND cut the losers sooner.
Doing the review I was surprised how well I had done on ES
Perhaps it is took fewer but better trades on ES
Smaller sample
Higher wining trades and smaller losing
