Disable it, please.
Big Mike
I am contemplating disabling "Visitor Messages" for all users.
Visitor Messages are often confused for Private Messages. The difference is one is publicly visible to everyone, and one is private.
When you click on someone's user profile, the first 'tab' in their profile that displays is their Visitor Message profile (assuming they have it enabled, which most do). You can then write messages here. This is kind of like Facebook's "wall".
What I find is that 99% of people don't realize the message is public. Their intention was to write a private message, not a public one.
Let me know if you have an opinion on this.

Anyone that wants to disable it for their own account right now can easily do so.
1. UserCP.
2. Edit Options.
3. Visitor Message: Uncheck 'enable visitor messaging'.

Hi,
I have made a global change to all user profiles. The change is to the default Message Editor, which will effect the way the editor functions when you write new posts on the site.
I have changed everyone's default to "Standard Editor". This solves a lot of problems users were often complaining about (embedded images not working, YouTube links broken on edits, etc). This change also solves a lot of formatting issues that happen when users cut and paste text into the editor box in certain browsers.
If you want to revert back to the old editor, go to UserCP from the top nav bar, then click Edit Options on the left, then scroll down and change the Message Editor Interface to "Enhanced Interface - WYSIWYG" and submit. BTW, WYSIWYG stands for "what you see is what you get". I recommend you do NOT go back to the old editor, but instead use the standard editor.
Below are
screenshots on how to revert back, in case you want to:
Thank you,

I was gonna stop by and leave a thank you message on your profile but ...

Hey , One little snag that I noticed and that is when I post something that has a chart or pictures in it it doesn't show up after I post it here...if you know what I mean. Do I have to go back to the old editor settings ?

If you are copying and pasting from somewhere else, then yes it won't show up. But if you use the site tools to attach images, it will work fine.

Updated our video player (webinars) to the latest version. Please report any problems.
Did you received any "complaints" about this Mike? Since you posted it on April, 3rd, and if I'm the first one, it's probably me/my browser/pc.
The Richard Weissman's webinar doesn't run smooth here - every few minutes, the playing "jumps back" 15-20 seconds, and repeat that part again before moving on. It's not that it's reloading again or anything, just that the sound goes back. It happened here around 9:50, around 13 minutes, and around 15:20 (I haven't gone further yet). I've already let it pause for 5 minutes to let it fill the buffer, but that hasn't helped.

I just played about 10 minutes, start at 9:00 minute mark and going to almost 20 minute mark, and never had a single problem. No one else has reported any problems.
Make sure you are running the latest version of Flash. You can also try using Chrome, which has an internal version of Flash built-in to it.
If anyone else is having any problems with the webinars be sure to let me know.
