Soo.. I'm Daniel. Born 81' and located in Norway. Started randomly Papertrading Norwegian stocks in 2004, went cash 2006. Been at it on and off, nothing serious but got my feet plenty wet and round 2010 i started taking notes of all the fantastic too-good-to-be-true adverts for spot forex. Started researching on and off, but the amount of BS info and misinformation out there put me off. By the time i had narrowed down some trustworthy sites (like futures.io (formerly BMT)) i had already learned that forex has no centralized exchange and that alone means you will always be fighting your broker, and not the actual market. Enourmous risk, and certain doom, imho.
Discovered the beauty of regulated futures, and here i am. On the only site i feel i can trust most posters, and learn an invaluable amount of information. On that note, a huge thank you to Big Mike and the contributors to this site who put the time and effort into sharing their experiences and educating curious souls like myself.
I only wish i had the experience and knowledge to contribute something back to this community, but alas, even after months of researching, i'm still just a novice.
Hi Mike
I have a self-inflected problem. I somehow deleted some of my historical S&P 500 Emini ES tick and volume data. While searching the web I find that I can buy it for about $55 but saw in your old 2009 blog that you have 5 years available to your VIP – Elite members.
I am currently operating on a shoestring and my questions are:
1) Is the historical ES tick data up to date?
2) Is it possible to get a sample of it to verify that it will work for me?
3) Is the tick data for a full 24 hours?
4) Does it also include the volume per tick?
I know that there are contract price shifts and that the data most likely will not be in the exact format I need but this is NOT a problem as I have the ability to massage it into what I can use. The gap of missing data I have is from May 1 2013 to July 20 2013.
If I can get a small sample (say 2 hours) of April 30 and July 21 2013 to verify with, I would much rather spend $100 and get Elite membership than $55 for a one time fix.
As a point of reference here is a very small sample of what I currently have.
DATE – YYYMMDD
TIME – HHMMSS

I have been doing some trading in stocks and options for about 2 years and have now started to look and learn about futures trading. I hope to learn from all of your experiences and I also hope to be a great asset to the community.
I have been following the markets and doing limited trading for a few years, but after blowing up a few accounts I decided I needed to either give up trading or become a professional and reign in emotions and learn the trade. That is what I am working at now, thank you Mike for this great forum that offers a noob some great knowledge.
I started trading before internet bubble bursted. You know the story which occured after that. I decided to learn more and set up my own trading system.
I kept tracking technical indicators and recording data, such as, relative strenght index (RSI), ISE Sentiment Index (ISEE), Volatility Index (VIX), Traders Index (TRIN), and Smart Money Flow Index (SMFI). Recently I published an eBook Top 5 Technical Indicators for ETF Trading.
I understand this forum is different from other forums, everybody is willing to share. This really moves me. I am willing to share my eBook with everybody for free. If you are interested in reading it. Please let me know.

Nice to be here with you..
after a couple of years trading based on the technical Analysis, I have to discover the world of Orderflow/Tapereading now. I am happy, that I found this page. It was recomended to me by another trader. I am sure I´ll find the answers to my questions here (unfortunately in Germany there is nothing like this page).
Looking forward to have a good time.
