You can set "defaults" in your Data Series window. Select Unirenko and set it for, say, T3R12O6 and then right click in each of those fields (TickTrend) and set T3 as a default, do the same with R12 and O6 and the next time you create a chart & select Unirenko, the defaults will be applied.
You can save a chart as a template and then that way, apply the template to any newly created chart, thus using the Unirenko settings from the saved chart template.
As far as I know, there is no way to put them on a drop down menu. The combinations would be almost infinite.
After all, it's what you learn AFTER you know it all, that counts!
Is there a way to modify Unirenko bars to not restart at the beginning of a new session similar to how SbSRenko? The reset breaks the continuity of the bars.
For example Here is what happens when the sessions open and close in the afternoon and the following morning.
I have been using weekly templates to show more continuity but just doublechecking to see if anyone has already been able to add this functionality.
SBS Renko has a setting that permits you to either allow the bars to reset at the beginning of a session or not as shown below:
I am trying to create an strategy that works with UniRenko bar type, but i think it have an important drawing bug.
The bars aren't drawing accord the close price... then my strategy backtest it's so diferent when i test it in real time, because the bars not update in real time as the close price.
I wrote to Ninjatrader support and said to me that is'nt a platform error because other bar type based in ticks works correctly.
I tested too.
I am reading in the last UniRenko update that was modified by dstrader. Thank you dstrader. Seems Monpere last activity was 3 years ago. He dont repond private messages.
Do you think it would be very difficult to correct this important error?
1. Close Ninjatrader 7.
2. Go to C:\Users\[user]\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Type.
3. Open file UniRenkoBarsType.cs in Notepad.
4. Search for "### First Bar".
5. Change the following lines
from:
//### First Bar
//if ((bars.Count == 0) || bars.IsNewSession(time, isRealtime))
{
to:
//### First Bar
//if ((bars.Count == 0) || bars.IsNewSession(time, isRealtime))//
if (bars.Count == 0) //
{
6. Click File > Save.
7. Close File.
8. Go to C:\Users\[user]\Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\cache.
9. Remove the files from this folder. (I just saved the files to my desktop as a back up, just in case).
10.Open Ninjatrader 7.
11.Go to Tools > Edit Ninjascript > Indicator.
12.Open any Indicator in the list.
13.Compile Indicator (If no errors are shown after compile you are good to go).
14.Connect to a datafeed and reload the UniRenko chart. The bars should load without resetting at the start of the session template.
Here is what the chart looks like after the update:
Update: I think the issue is with how I downloaded the data for replay. I'm re-downloading now.
I am unable to get my Unirenko charts to render during market replay. Does anyone know if this is an issue with my set up, or if there is a fix for it?
Update 2 (because another edit to my prior post doesn't seem to be available): I re-downloaded all of the replay market data, and sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't. Still trying to figure out why.
any advice on this would be appreciated. I'm a bit new to NT, and to how the Market Replay operates.
Thanks again in advance for any insight you might have.
