My younger brother had always been on me about getting started in trading, but as a business owner, I never seemed to have the time. We'll the time is finally here.
I have been sim trading my brother's system and been doing fairly well. My real trading account should funded in May and I can get started for real.
I plan to trade the ES, and possibly the YM, index futures to start out. I am also learning index options as well.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I'm a begginner/intermediate aspiring trader from 2009.
I've more theory than practice because mi free time is very limited during the days.
So I can study every day when the markets I like are no more available.
This happens since 2009.
I did live trading for one year on 2010 in forex market, but without good results in terms of money.
It all started by accident. I had a master's degree in agriculture for a few years. A client of mine asked me how he could buy grain from Russia to his barn without receiving it immediately, but by blocking the price until the next season.
I realized a lot about myself when involved in real market with my own money and that was encouraging to me to continue studying and, a day, to came back into the real market with greater awarness.
So, I'm about ready to dive into the futures market and it's also why I joined futures.io (formerly BMT) forum that many believe formed by serious people.
Just found this site - looks like a good group of traders. FYI, I found it on YouTube listening to your Jack Schwager interview.
As for me, I'm purely technical, I've been using technical analysis for over twenty years. Put it this way, my first technical analysis software was DOS. My focus is equities and associated indexes.
Professionally I've worked as an institutional bond trader and also have managed a couple of retail trading desks focusing on individual securities as well as options and finally, have taught courses to brokers on Structured Products. I am currently working on my own quantitative system and trading.
Look forward to learning and contributing, although my time is fairly limited.
after I blew up my account some years ago I became older but wiser ? I will see. Not running for big money anymore. I take it slowly and start again with a sim account. Don't know when I will start "Live" again. For me its more fun to learn trading, the rest will follow.
I wish all of you success and a bit of luck !
I am a beginner trader trading option spreads my neighbor willingly taught me. My dream is to travel the world day trading. I have a bachelors in Finance, but I didn't learn how to trade. I am joining because I am impressed with this community and I believe I can become a better trader by reading, asking questions and learning from all of you.
I'm very new to futures trading and I have been referred to this forum from search engine. I'm from the Philippines. I tried forex and stocks before but was never profitable in the long term. I always got net losses. It was good to have knowledge on money management so I didn't lose more than 10% of my risk capital. And never was I able to blow an account.
I am still frustrated as it seems to me that I can't really become profitable with the markets. I realized that I am inclined to be a day trader since I don't seem to be comfortable holding positions overnight. Like Marty Schwartz, I want to hear the cash register ring always.
Being exposed with the futures market was just out of curiosity. I have been intrigued that most of my trading heroes have been trading the futures/commodities market. So I tried to look for an online futures broker and tried a demo. At first, it seems awkward. But then about a couple of hours, I have just found the market that I should be in.
Futures markets are favorable for day traders. It seems much easier than forex but I can't assure that I will be profitable yet. I'm currently in the demo stage and will probably open a live account next month after getting to know much of the market workings.
Thank you futures.io (formerly BMT)! See you guys around.
