Hi Guys,
I am trading futures for some time and would like to add stock swing trading strategy to my portfolio and options trading in the future.
I am currently using SierraChart platform with their datafeed and Interactive Brokers as a broker. I also poses a lifetime license for NinjaTrader which I am currently not using.
I am trading orderflow principles and I identify entry zones based on volume profiles. My trades last usually between 10 secs - 3 min. I would like to use similar principals for entering longer term stock trades 1-10 days.
Could someone experienced in stock trading give me a hand here. What type of data do you use for stock trading? Obviously for orderflow I need high quality tick data. Is this the case for stock trading as well? I will be scanning the stocks on daily timeframe and maybe I will be fine-tuning and timing entries on lesser timeframes. Do you do it the same way, or do you simply enter limit orders at the close of the previous day for example? What data do you use? Snapshot, tick, etc.? Is here someone using the SierraChart + IB combo for stock trading?
Consistent profits for everyone |
