This was a old post, BUT I STATE AGAIN I HAVE USED 3 PLATFORMS BROKERS SINCE AND HAVE NOT CHANGED MY MODEM OR PC'S AND HAVE NOT ENCOUNTERED ANY OF PROBLEMS I DID WITH THEM.AND THEY ALWAYS SAID IT WAS MY FAULT.
Also I wont mention I entered a ARO trade with them should have got filled .15 cents or so I got filled .73 since below my entry. Owner was going to talk to me but never heard anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! issues and I think this was a 1000lot trade just saying glitches
so yes I dont care for them they did not take care of me, and I have not experienced any issues like this sense, sorry MB lovers just my facts not hear say
I've also been reading on another forum an NT user who regularly experiences disconnects (late at night) and as a result is experiencing "phantom orders". So I'm a little nervous about considering them.
I am using Interactive Brokers at the moment, but thinking of switching to MB, because their flat rate fee in Stocks... The problem you describe, I guess is easily solved with using a external datafeed like Kinetick, right? (I do not like the data feed from IB, so I use Kinetick and it works excellent...)

I'm a current MB client, and would close my a/c with them if they have just fired 40% of their US staff. However, after some (google, yahoo, bing )searches, the only relevant reference is re MB closing their UK office, which BM has already referenced. So interested to see if anyone can point to a reference about their US staff.....
Back to the thread, I've used MB for 2 years for live intraday FX trading through the NT API, performance is ok, I get reasonable fills during 'normal' market hours, partial/multiple partial fills during 'quieter' period .....lets be honest no broker is going to get you fills during high volatility periods, so either your already on the wagon before the volatility kicks in or you accept the risk of bad fills, no more to say there.
I do have minor issues with MB sometime patchy connectivity, but I'm logged back in usually within 30 secs (the worst was 30 minutes). That no real concern for me as I always have an SL and often a hedge limit order (OCO) incase someone cuts the cable between home and MB servers.
I have limited experience with their customer service, only time I have really needed them was when I needed to reset my password after win BSOD/HDD failure and misplacing hardcopy of my password ...... I was able to speak to a a cust service guy via skype and problem was resolved quickly.
I haven't had any phantom orders for nearly a year now.......
My REAL issue is with MB's 'live' data, personally I have transitioned from being a discretionary trader to a 100% technical trader, which is when I have noticed MB live data is basically crap........most of the time, after I reload historical data in NT, the 5min bars are different from the 'live' data that is being feed through NT, which has been causing me serious heartburn........problem is easily solved........use a 3rd party provider.......
I would be interested to hear what data providers other traders who place their orders through MB are using and their experiences.
Hope this helps other who are considering MB.
will take whatever the market gives.......gratefully
Data is totally crap when you need tick precision. So I think that customers are limited to the crumbs that MBT Liquidity Provider toss around. Just imagine when you read Fx is the most liquid to trade and then you get partial fills for 1 or 2 mini order(10,000).
I have a feeling that customers are trading against each other and thats is why they create Pay for Limits and Comission Free program.
