He probably loses money still, and he's still pissed about it so he makes lame comments like that. Theres plenty of people like that on elite trader... Very annoying to listen to these people to say the least..
Anyways, if anyone wants to actually tell me their experience with mirus instead of telling me their opinions if my money is safe, that would be nice...
Ill just fund an account with mirus anyways while i keep this one and see how it goes.
I've attached the latest broker information i could find, dated july 31. It has all their info in terms of net capital etc...
The Rithmic feed is the technology that the Zen-Fire feed is built around - so it is supposed to deliver faster unfiltered data (at least my brokerage tell me so). So for me it was at the time a more attractive choice to go Rithmic than Zen-Fire.
Now i´m thinking about DTN IQ feed to get higher quality data.

I´ve sent some mails to mirus and sometimes got a lightning fast response, sometimes NO answers at all, and on one occasion a obvious lie to a question about malfunction of the zen-fire feed after two or three weeks; so i certainly did not choose Mirius.
AMP answered mail quickly and helpfully, but to much copy-paste answers, and to much geared at selling for my taste. I also did not like something about there homepage (not sure what); so i did not go with AMP.
go with someone you can trust, send them some difficult questions and see how they answer them..
The best measure is how a firm handles complaints, thats how i made my choice.
I am new to trading and had been reading stuffs of this forum. Can I know what is the benefit of trading through an IB instead of going to the clearing house directly? For example, Dorman seems to allow me to trade directly with them instead of going through an IB.
I'm very glad that I've started this thread. I sense the echo of a beautiful sound. Namely the one, where we as traders are starting to take our rights back. We should continue to put high demands on our brokers, and to help each other by sharing both good and bad experiences!
Anyway, because of the NT-Zenfire solution, I finally decided to open an account with Mirus. I'm still not able to make any final judgements about anything at all, because I've not started to trade it live yet. Hence nothing to say about how they'd handle an undesired issue.
But I do want to share an issue, that I'm finding rather unacceptable. Namelly the "connection lost" issue. It has happened a couple of times before, but not during the whole day as today!.
For me this is highly unacceptable, I'm a discretionary trader.
So, now I'm curious! Have you guys experienced the same issue today? Have you guys with the NT6,5 (I'm using the NT7b21) experienced the same issue today!
Thank you in advance, and thanks a lot for keeping the thread alive!
PS: I'm attaching a picture of the log.
From (My time UTC + 1 London time + 1 h)
17.48 to 18.39 the connection was lost 10 times

Thanks for answering. Yeah you're right. It sure doesn't look like Mirus.

Not sure why you're hung up on ZF/NT 'solution'. I've had it (for a potential backup account) for several weeks and I'm not impressed. Note - that's a ZF complaint, not Mirus. Losing count of the number of problems I've seen recently.
Yes, I did try TT/NT (notice that I did try the sim feed, not the live feed, but when compared they were identical) but I always had problems with the feed when CL was very volatile. It didn't keep up with the Zen feed. That's the main reason why I started to look at Mirus.
It's also worth sharing that, I've experienced connectivity issues with TT, such as temporary losses of connection. But never at these levels, meaning during a whole hour.
