I use advantage futures. The risk checks are done on the Teton Sierra Chart Order Server at the CME aurora location, not externally. Seems to be true

Yes, It's correct, but the delay is from Filled in Market to Received in platform.

That's interesting. So your saying that it takes 6ms for you to execute an order but 450ms for it to get reported to you that it was executed. What type of strategy are you running? If you were running autospreaders and this was a continous issue then it would be a huge problem, but if your executing single orders isn't fill execution speed more important than fill confirmation speed? I personally don't see how you could be consistently getting both (6ms execution but 450ms confirmation).

Hi

I do one trade at day with strategy algorithmic, my chart working with range bars and I need low latency to have more speed executions. But I need that my bracket working faster because NQ works with much volatility.

Thank you for your response.

I suggest you that try with TradingFxVps (Aurora) because I had check with Beeks vs TradingFxVps Standar Plan Futures and the speed is same, but TradingFxVps is cheaper than Beeks.

In my experience the best option is to buy a private residential proxy from your desired location and use a proxy client software. Sites likes stormproxies.com offer private proxies for around $2 per month. A good software that I have used for years is proxifier.

Yeah I am over $600 per month with the dedicated Diamond at Beeks. In the scheme of things money really doesn't matter. A great service that is a sizeable deduction at years end. I also can run MANY MANY different AT platforms and programs at the same time. Thanks for sharing!

I agree. I’ve been with tradingfxvps for over 2 years now and not only is the value you get really good, their customer support is top notch. You can’t go wrong with them.

In my opinion Ninja Mobile Trader VPS is better value than tradingfxvps because you get higher specs at a lower rate. Also there is similar Aurora located ultra low latency.

@hjt10d, good point on comparing value across providers. When you're shopping for a CME Aurora VPS, specs-per-dollar matters -- but it's worth looking at a few other things too.

Since you're trading silver futures on NinjaTrader, here's what I'd pay attention to beyond raw specs:
  • Uptime reliability -- A VPS that goes down during a big SI move costs more than any monthly savings. Look for providers with 99.9%+ uptime guarantees.
  • Actual latency to CME -- Being "Aurora located" is the right starting point, but the network path between the VPS and CME's matching engine still varies between providers in the same facility.
  • Support responsiveness -- When something breaks mid-session, fast support is worth its weight in gold.
@NinjaMobileTrader is a solid option for NinjaTrader users specifically -- they've built their service around that platform, which simplifies setup quite a bit.

One thing worth noting: for most retail traders placing a handful of trades per day, the difference between a good CME Aurora VPS and a great one is measured in single-digit milliseconds. That matters a lot for algos and aggressive scalpers, but for discretionary trading on SI, connection stability and uptime usually matter more than shaving off 2ms.

If you're running any automated strategies though, then yes -- every millisecond counts, and getting the best specs you can afford at Aurora makes sense.

Have you had a chance to test actual round-trip latency on your current setup?

Have a good weekend!
