Are you sure that you had set the indicator to DailyBars on your custom template?
The chart with the custom template shows the market close at 4:00 PM CT. This value has been taken from intraday data. The pivots are false, because you used that close instead of the settlement price, which is supplied with daily data.
ya i used the dailybars setting for all of the pivot indicators. i used 4:00PM CT on both of the templates tho, how come one gives me correct close and the custom one doesnt..?
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
Could you please show me a chart that displays the indicator settings? Then show me the DataSeries settings.
The indicator cannot invent any values. The value on your chart is not the daily close, so it comes from intraday data and I would like to find out where it comes from.
I can reproduce your close with a 24/7 session template and the pivots set to ETH and "DailyBars = false". Chart attached.
sorry about this fatty.. for some reason i can no longer reproduced the issue.. i was getting the error even after repeatedly reloading the historical data to get clean data in, and i also even changed all my charts around(again) after seeing this issue.. i really didnt just blindly post this, as i tried to work through it myself before posting.. i dunno what changed between posting originally and now.. sorry again..
i will post back if i can get it to reproduce again..
on a lighter note, is there a way to add the ability to the session colors indicator so that it will follow user inputted time instead of following the session template? something with the bars being 'cut off' at the end/beginning of my custom sessions that bothers me if the instrument is still trading.. i really only want that happening when the instrument is actually closed.
dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see
Yes, that would be a different type of indicator, but is not in line with the concept of the SessionColors. Actually, you idea can be coded in half an hour. It is just about
-> selecting the number of sessions
-> entering the break times
-> color the background between the break times
There are a lot of guys around, who can do that. I have some other projects running today, sorry.
