They don't match exactly. Zen fire is generally regarded as slightly faster (milliseconds), while IQfeed is generally regarded as much more accurate (no dropped bid/ask or out of order ticks). But trading via a Zen Fire broker while using IQfeed is not a problem, I did it for a long time.
No I couldn't tell any difference between Zen and TT. Since I've been using MultiCharts for charting over a year now, I've used NT 6.5 for DOM+execution, X_Trader, and recently Sierra Chart.
I'll take a look at MC7 for execution when it works. It seems their production schedule has slowed down a lot in the last year, so it may be another six months or so before MC7 is final, although I've heard that an updated beta is due next week. Their past betas have been stable, so I'll cross my fingers.
I love the chart resolution that MC offers - easy on my eyes. Setting up the symbols correctly can be a chore, but once you get use to the specifics, it works well. This may be due to the feed I am currently using - Rithmic. Other feeds may be different, such as TT. Don't know yet.
First, I have read the thread more than once and yes, I could have missed the information that I am about to ask for in this post. but the thread has been informative:
1. Does MCDT have simulated trading mode?
2. Does MCDT have the Force Index indicator?
3. Does anyone know if MC7 will have manual trading (chart trading, DOM) with simulated trading mode?
Thanks for bother and your input. I did a "Live Chat" with MC today and when I asked these questions, they diconnected the chat. I may have been asking the wrong questions and I may be asking the wrong question here on this thread. And for that, I apologize for wasting anyone's time.
1. As my thinking - no, but you can connect to any demo account from the broker list.
2. I don't think so
3. You mean, as similar in Ninja 7? - no, or I don't find it. once again - you can connect to any demo account you have created by your broker. ( I've done it with mirus )
I trade since last week with MC 7 ( I know it's alpha) but I#m deep impressed how stable and smotth and fast it is. ( I have 3 different workspaces and detached windows on 3 screens. Ninja has taken the duble time as MC did. And the chat support is also very helphul. I had yesterday the same problem disconnected in chat, but I get afterwords a mail from support, - it was only a personal mistake - not the wrong question ;-)
There is no sim mode. It's something I've talked to Dennis about many months ago, I think his answer was basically "yes, we want it too, but can only do so much at once". So, I think just give them some time --- but, be sure your needs are voiced on their project management site, MultiCharts Project Management
Has anyone been successful in placing live orders with MCDT. I have tried to test it out buit all orders have been rejected by mbtrading. The trade log says reason is "Invalid time in force [Day]".
I wonder if I have the settings right for forex in Qoute manager. I have use exchange and ecn checked.
