I agree with the main sentiment but to be fair to Ninja this is an NT8 wish list and they themselves made the hard decision to effectively freeze 7's functionality level so that they could focus limited resources on 8. As per most companies sometimes the decisions are tough and will never please most of us, let alone all of us. At least they still have a fantastic product!
Agree, fantastic product. I like it and want them to stay ahead of the pack. But many of the features like a market profile, plotting events into future, etc. have been asked for quite for some times (few years) before even the NT8 news, both on futures.io (formerly BMT) and on their own forum. Watching NT's previous webinars about NT8 and freezing of NT7, as I recall NT was non-committal at best, even with regards to NT8 release.
Let's see if the November 20, 2013 NT8 release date (guesstimate) holds.
Well, having written c0.5m lines of code in my time I wouldn't put money on release dates or even use the first few releases of anybody's new Ferrari in anger. I guess I measure stable user/product time in much longer units and 7 still easily meets my needs. However, like you I sure wish them well and hope NT8 is an XP or a 7 and not a Vista or a Windows 8 ....
in one of Ray's futures.io (formerly BMT) webinars he said timing for N8 was "sometime during 2013". Does anyone have any sense if that is still the case?

Ability to create some sort of "grouping" or "folder" organization for strategies would be nice. Meaning if you are using NT for serious development, you can easily have hundreds of systems at once, and it is not easy to have to keep scrolling thru all that every single time you need to test something.
It would be better if there was some sort of organizational structure like groupings where you could assign strategies to a group, and then expand/collapse that group +/- icon next to the group heading. So 100 strategies could be put into a "Forward test only" group, and that group could be collapsed by default in the drop down box so it occupies only one line instead of 100, but easily expanded by clicking the + icon next to the header row.
Really the same logic could apply to indicators as well, and allow users to better organize their indicators.
May fall along the lines of previously mentioned, if possible allow the user to arrange/group the indicators,
e.g. you can make group/folder for oscillators, moving averages,supp/res,etc. something besides them being arranged automatically by what the …
Would be nice to have the ability to organize ones stuff
p.s. looking fwd to more about your new adventure!
Take care
At present using the superdom there are no options for the target orders, they are limit orders only.
I would like the ability to change that to stop orders please.
Thanks,
Ken.
It could be handy if we could adjust the breakeven and auto trail settings when we are in a trade.
I like to use the breakeven setting but it is always different it depends on HL, LL, Sup/Res etc.
