I am a part-time future trader, and i am so glad to join this community. I would like to thank you for sharing all this great posts ,indicators, and trading advices.
I am new to trading and hope to make it my source of income one day despite the odds. I have never traded before but I have dabbled in the stock market with my ira. I will have a decent amount of capital to start trading with around $20k.
Right now I am not in the hurry to loose my money so I have been researching different trading systems and markets to find what I think would be a good fit for me to start. I had settled on using Ninja trader and the DTS system but I felt the pricing was too expensive. I wasn't sure if would live up to its promises.
I am going to go the through the free information here on this site and will probably sign up for the elite membership as well.
I want to find something that appeals to me and stick with it until I master it. I can get distracted easily and I know this can be fatal to my success as a trader. Right now I have the advantage of being fresh and coach-able with no bad habits when it comes to trading.
My goal is to make a decent living trading and travel abroad while doing it. I think Top Step Trader maybe a good way to do this with risking my capital.
I have looked at DTS, Newbie Trader, TheDayTradingAcademy, Jigsaw Trading, Investors Underground, Boomerang Day Trader
Being an internet marketer I am cynical and can recognize marketing hype when I see it.
Ultimately I know that there are a million ways to trade, and there is no one way that is better than another. Its just what works best for you. Its the same with martial arts.
Having a trading plan (sticking to it) and good risk management seems part of the of the keys to success.
Right now my main concern is to build a solid foundation on understanding the market, why and how it moves. Peter Davies shed some light on that in his free materials at Jigsaw trading.
If anyone has any recommendations for a solid system for a beginner to start on I would welcome any suggestions. As for now I will be going through the valuable free information here. The $100 is a paltry sum to be a lifetime member here and shows Mike is serious about helping people, thanks again Big Mike.
This looks like a great place to interact with active traders. I've been trading stock and index options on TOS for almost 2 years now and find it to be fascinating - guess I'm hooked. I am an intermediate trader and I am still making too many mistakes - I am close to breaking even. When I do that I will have achieved my first trading milestone!
I hope to get involved and learn and help where I can.
Glad to join such an amazing community of traders. I've been sim'ing for about a year and a half now and finally got my live account all set up. Really looking forward to making my first live trade.
I've only been on here for a few short weeks and already I have learned so much from people's threads, posts, and webinars. Really looking forward to continue to learn from everyone
