The big monitor in the middle is a 34" LG, love it. Home made standing desk and I use a drafting height chair to sit when I get tired of standing. Saved my back for sure
I would prefer to have maybe a 40" 4k as the main monitor, put the 34" above that for extra charts then move the 2x 27's to the side, vertically. This would provide more screen real estate in a more compact overall form
Which 40" monitor are you looking at? I wish someone made a 34-36" with 16x10 aspect ratio, but I can't find anything like that. The 32's are a tad too small given the ultrawide 34 LG, and 40 is a bit too big for that close up
The monitors that ive considered now for about a year are
Wasabi Mango UHD400
Crossover 404 or newer model 405k
The philips 40 inch which has warranty has bad ghosting issues but is the only non ebay model
Finally the QNIX 4020r which is what i am seriously considering . just came out (and seems to have better response time than the Wasabi Mango, has Freesync, is Flicker free though the colors are not that great they say and there is backlight bleed)
but for our purpose it should be fine and you can game on it as well
I was at Aldi last weekend and picked up a dual monitor stand for $49. At the time I didn't have any use for it because I only had a 24'' all-in-one computer and a 27" external monitor which I use interchangeably between the computer and an old laptop with a broken screen that I use as a Plex media server and for general web browsing.
As luck would have it Ebay had 20% of a number of retailers this week and I managed to pick up a new 27" monitor to use as a dedicate 2nd monitor for the computer.
I have been setting up the new monitor and the stand today and here is the result. Now just need to upgrade the old 27" for the new model for consistency.
