Fed Chairman J. Powell will have a hearing before Congress to talk about the economy and monetary policy. Powell's prepared statement will be released before the event on Capitol Hill.
edit 9:01 - Lanxess (Chemicals) Germany informed yesterday evening with a profit warning. The branch Chemicals in Germany opened red this morning. The DAX is on its way down.

Numbers: GB interest decision 13:00 - after 12 rising rounds in a row a new rise of 25 or even 50 base points expected
Switzerland interest decision 9:30 - a shift up strongly expected: 10:00 - 25 base points up.
Asia all strong red: Flop Hang Seng - 2,02%, Shanghai and Taiwan did not trade
