I traded Forex for the last two years with mixed results. Now i am trying to get my hands on trading Futures and specifically on developing an ea based on the orderflow. I already found this forum to be a very valuable source of information. Thanks to Big Mike and all the members contributing, making all this possible. Great Work!

I look forward to reading comments about your success in trading emini futures. I am especially interested in trading the
TF contract. I wish you all the best success.
Hi everyone!
Like most beginners traders I lost a lot of money in forex, especially when I negotiating times of 5, 15, 30 and even 60 minutes. Here I want to learn exchanging ideas and seeking always upgrade me personal level. I hope learn more here and start making money in forex, stocks and other assets. I also like programming and want to learn more about construction of indicators that can help me in daily trading. I Working with the ProRealTime platform, which although more expensive, has a much higher quality level, although the METATRADER is also excellent, but this has not PORTUGAL stocks (PSI 20 and EURONEXT LISBON that I transaction to). Best regards. José Freitas
I've read posts on Big Mike's for a while now, but finally joined a week or so ago. It was the "Selling Options on Futures" thread that caught my attention.
I've been trading options since early 2004. First with covered calls on biotech stocks. By 2005 I was trading primarily iron condors on Russell 2000 futures. My main options trades are still iron condors on the indices (RUT, SPX, NDX) or on futures (CL, 6E). I've used TradeKing and IB, but currently use TOS.
I tend to do a lot of automated backtesting of options trades and post the results on my blog.
Had a pretty good corporate job, but quit a few years ago. Was half-assing my trading for the past few years and decided that I should take it more serious. Just moved internationally to lower my living expenses.
Goal is to make 2x living expenses via short-term equity / options trading (not day trading though) and make a few concentrated longer term bets for portfolio growth. I'm hoping I can make some smart trading decisions as I'm not ready to go back to an office job yet.
I'm coming at this from a different direction. I spent many years in the financial information industry, designing quote systems, value added calculation systems, and risk management services, mostly for OTC fixed income, OTC foreign exchange , and financial and agricultural futures markets. My second career was in data mining, mostly of unstructured text and its connection to financial markets. I'm hoping my third career will be in individual trading.
My academic training was in Econometrics and international economics. My recent research interests have been in heuristic optimization systems and multivariate forecasting methods. My primary computing tools have been R. I'm currently struggling to adapt to the brave new world (for me) of object oriented programming in C# and C++. I hope to trade in spot FX and equities in the near term.
