This looks like a great forum and I'm hoping to contribute to it in a positive way. I work for a company that provides real-time and historical commodites data, as well as relevant research so I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from everyone.

Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I am a long time "reasonably" succesful investor/long term trader now looking to test the day trading arena...this looks like a great place to learn/exchange ideas!
Glad to join this forum and thank you Mike and all members in advance for information I will use from site.
I consider myself a beginner and I'm trying to find out if I'm good enough to make a decent living as a trader. I found this forum while searching for online reviews on Rockwell Trading Co. and hope this is a good find and looking forward to share information with you all. I started trade back in Internet bubble era when I was clueless with full of emotions and lack of knowledge more like gambling my money away on stocks and options. I’d better not repeat that again I hope…well, I don’t have much to waste anyway.
Hopefully I’ll be more smart and skillful this time.
Hi, My name is Jeff and I want to become a Trader!
I started about 8-9 years ago with the usual internet gleaning for free knowledge as most do. I then went with Tom Brown at the trading Authority and feel I learned a lot about trading, but payed little attention to the Money Management teaching and blew up my 30K account. It took a while to be able to put the funds together so now I want to do it right, which is why I have stopped lurking here. I have come to see the value of this Forum and would like to thank Big Mike for giving me the opportunity to partake of the Knowledge and Wisdom accumulated here. Cheers
I have been trading for many years, and lost close to a million $ I really didn't have- then I learned most of what experienced traders say- stay with one thing that works only- beat it to death- milk it for what it's worth- don't try to do better by changing. So now that I have learned to be profitable - finally- it takes forever to find my MACD diversion trades. I need a simple scan formula to cut my time down - since I have a full time job (or more)helping people avoid tax problems with the IRS. So here goes. Please tell me where to best post this to attract coders. Thanks
I need a formula to load into the TOS scan that does the following- yes I can pay some money for it.
It examines the weekly and daily macdTwo Lines 12/26/9 exponential and gives the results for the following:
When the daily green line changes direction (up or down) and the weekly green line is in the same direction as the new direction.
For example the daily changes from up to down at the end of the day, let's say Tuesday, and the weekly is pointing down at the end of the day tuesday, even though it has not completed the weekly price bar.
Hi, after many emails from Mike start posting, I would like to introduce myself. I am a part time trader with about 5 years of intermittent trading. Sometimes good, other times not. I used to be a programmer for Merrill Lynch before 9/11, and I sat near many traders over the years there. It helped understand the markets generally, but retail trading is a very different animal.
I have a full time job and wanted to trade for extra income. Not so easy. I have already burned thru half of my initial $15k acct. I tried one system, but lost quite a bit of money. Then I wrote many strategies, which all made money in Sim, but lost when live trading. When I trade manually with a few indicators, I usually do well. However, this requires my full and undivided attention. When I tried doing it while at work, lost money.
So I am at a cross road: do I quit my day job that pays ok, but I dislike much of the time, or do I keep searching for an automated system that I can keep and eye on at work?
I want to thank the many people on this forum for much good advice-some do which I have taken and some of which I should have taken but did not and regretted it. Best advice I got was learn to trade and avoid systems.
I also want to thank Mike for this forum and his insistence that all readers become contributors.
I discovered this forum on the recommendation of a friend. I'm trading Forex for 5 years, but now I want to start trade on Futures market and I think that this forum could help me
Was introduced to Futures Day Trading in the fall of 2010. In 2011 and 2012 took various courses and found couple of great coaches. Since then have been trading just the TF. Started trading CL lately.
I would like to be a contributor as well as learner at this great forum.
