michaelf, the only people with 944.3 problems that you link to are those running IB controller. No problems otherwise. Be interested to hear about others with problems.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
IB is where the money is...usually money talks and bullshit walks. However, I am probably tied to NT for life due to the work that others have shared with me for that platform. It does appear now that there are no issues and things are working fine.
So one vendor said do it one said don't how would you decide? I am, while diminished, still in business if I enter trades on TWS 944.3 When NT starts taking deposits and clearing trades, let me know...lol
I've never been able to get my NT to connect to IB, even after following these instructions, so I just gave up on it but now I have a more pressing need that requires me to connect my NT to IB. The only thing I can think of is maybe it's not working because I use a security card when I login and maybe the API doesn't work if your process requires you add the security card information. I haven't seen any information about that but it's the only thing I can think of that maybe is different from others that us NT/IB combinations successfully.
So does it matter if I use a security card or not as part of my login process?
I connect to IB Ok and have the login security card that requires me to enter 6 characters from two random numbers given to me by the IB login process. Have 1-224 different numbers on my security card.
