Cool. If you run into odd problems using the DVI to DisplayPort adapters, I recommend going to monoprice.com and buying a DisplayPort to DVI cable instead. That is what I've done for my four, and all problems went away that were being caused by the "adaptors".
Thanks for the tip.
BTW I got 3 'original' adapter cables too from the same seller at $ 10.50 ... will see if they work.
Now trying to order the different components for my first dedicated trading machine.
Some parts ordered through Amazon and forwarded via Ship2Me; some parts sourced locally... too bad Newegg is still unavailable without having US CC.
After more than a year no trading, finally getting some time to start again.
I am in the process of configuring a new trading pc with up to 6 monitors. As far as I read in this thread is the graphic card NVIDIA NVS 295 a good choice. But the guy who will build my pc is unsure whether it will work with 3 cards and 6 monitors because the cards have no plug-in for a SLI bridge/Crossfire to connect them.
Has anybody experience with 2 or 3 installed NVS 295 cards?
Or does someone know whether they must be connected to work proper?
If they doesn´t work, any recommendation for a alternate solution would be appreciated.
I am wondering, do people change any of the settings for the Graphics cards or just use the default settings. I have a Radeon HD6770 running with 3 monitors. I am not a technie and basically have just run the machine out of the box but see lots of settings when I go into the Catalyst Control Centre. I don't do any gaming on the machine. Thanks.
Hello everybody,
my pc is an HP Quad Q9300 + 6GB ram + W7 Home Premium x64.
I purchased a Nvidia Quadro NVS 450 512MB with 4 display port output.
Before to purchase it I asked the Nvidia support service if it could work with Vga input monitors.
Their answer was that it could work with Vga monitors (they said it required passive adapters up to 1920x1080 and active adapters for higher resolutions).
In fact I have found that it works with Vga monitors only in safe mode before to install the Nvidia driver.
After the Nvidia driver is installed the result is a black screen.
I tried both ways with passive and active adapter but the result is always a black screen.
Anybody knows if this graphic card can really work with Vga monitor (with active adapter of course) ?
Many thanks
