the Cumulative Delta Bars - Ticks study -
looking in both SC standard studies and User Supplied Studies I only found "Cumulative Delta Bars" study - is this the Upticks/Down ticks delta study Mike was looking for? Or is this the Volume Delta study that was there before? I do not see any horizontal Ray tool.
Nope #763 - the first thing I did was attempt to get mot current version. #763 is the most current available from Transact. thank you, I will wait until more current is available.
In the 6037 Constant Volume Bar chart I have added three Cumulative studies. The first is the Cumulative Delta for Bid/ask traded volume, the third is the Cumulative Delta for (bid/ask traded) ticks and the second is a Cumulative Delta for up/down tick traded volume.
In this thread user sctrader posted a link to the SC Support Forum where the way to build this second Study is described. Only difference: I base the calculations on a 1-tick chart.
I have noted that some people confuse bid/ask traded volume and up/down tick traded volume thinking they both are the same. This can be the case, but by no means has to be so.
These indicators can be used as confirmation for price action or be used to spot divergences. There are two examples for the latter in this chart.
A quick question if i may.
Does the free TT data feed provided through SC differ much in quality to the DTN data feed that i hear so many people raving about?
I wil try here to do an analysis and comparation on different data feeds and platforms to perfom studies involving bid/ask data, like comulative bid/ask difference or delta bars and footprint like.
